Thanks for GOTD sharing this app.
My instructors only post their PowerPoint lectures in PDF form. This is exactly what I need to convert the PDF files to PowerPoint format. It installs quickly and runs smoothly, and it can convert each PDF page to a different PPT slide, this function helps me a lot to save time, as I needn’t reformat it again after converting my PDF documents.
Thanks again!!

Simpo PDF to PowerPoint Converter works -- how well depends in large part on what you feed it & how those PDF files were created. It would not work for me when Microsoft Office was not installed, throwing an error that Office was missing, then saying the conversion finished, but there were no output files created. It *may* be satisfied with something less than a full Office install, e.g. another app associated with .pptx files or a PowerPoint viewer, but without any of that installed Simpo PDF to PowerPoint Converter will not work for me. In win7 Ult 64 SP1 RC with full Office 2007 installed I got conversions where every block [e.g. a column title] &/or line of text was a separate object & text was editable. Graphics were positionable objects as well. In some cases conversion looked identical, including PDFs from the free PDF Creator, but others [for example an Asus rebate] were off by a fair amount.
Simpo PDF to PowerPoint Converter installs to a program folder with 222 files, 20 folders, taking up ~20 MB -- deleting [in my case unneeded] language & uninstall files brought that down to 34 files, ~11 MB. Additions to the registry are an uninstall key & today's GOTD license registration.
The PDF format, like Microsoft's XPS is intended for delivery only -- that it's harder to re-purpose the contents is an original selling point. Designers & artists etc. sometimes use it, withholding the contents that went into the PDF until they're paid for that content... in that respect PDF is similar to video DVDs, with software for accessing content developed more on the fringes than mainstream. Also like video DVDs, the focus of the PDF spec is on standardized viewing -- not the internals so-to-speak... as above, my test results Simpo PDF to PowerPoint Converter depended on the individual PDF much more than what was in the PDF to start with.

This is a simple to use converter and works quite well for the most part however it is still a little buggy on occasion. Testing with page ranges from a batch of PDF files left some of the resulting PPTs with just a range of blank slides whereas doing the whole document worked OK.
It is quite fast to convert and can also convert encrypted PDF files but requires that you have MS Powerpoint installed which may not be the case for many.
A nice feature (which is currently not included) would be to allow combining of PDFs to create one output PPT file. Overall however, as this is free it is worth downloading for your occasional use (if you have powerpoint).
