This special GOTD edition has been modified to remove the most important feature: the COPY DVD to hard disc function.
IMO, the version given here is probably identical or very similar to the free version, and is certainly not the Platinum edition as the title suggests. This is definitely not a good practice!
Furthermore, the updates crashes immediately (twice!) when I launch the program. (The program itself seems to work well.)

After closing the program I found WinXUpdate.exe in my TaskManager eating 50% of my processor. I do not know what it is and why it does not. I hope it is just a bug.
I would not recommend using this program until this is fixed.

This is a very good one indeed, I downloaded WinX DVD Ripper Platinum few months ago via GAOTD and works flawless. In combination with Xilisoft for 2-in-1 converting/burning AVI to DVD and (free) Format Factory for all other kinds of converts more you don't need and again (thanks to GAOTD) The Best Things in Life are Free !

@11 Seems to be version 5.1 of WinX DvdRipperPlatinium.
@6 Delete WinXUpdate.exe in the program folder,this version has no free upgrades to future versions anyway.
