To me, being unable to grab the sound as well as the video, makes this software useless to me. Tried to download a classical guitar video. When I download video, I expect to get the sound as well.... a video of a guitar player with no sound, makes it quite useless.

The only Problem with downloading from Ashampoo is you get bombarded with emails from them to purchase there products and its hard to stop them takes many emails to them to STOP.

I bought this about 2 months ago and it works great. It can capture anything on your screen including, Hulu, YouTube, MTV, you name it and Snap 3 will capture it. I use other software for capturing streaming content, but if that software doesn't work, then Snap 3 will always work. only a few things would make it better, IMHO. Choice of what codec to save to and way to see audio recording levels, because until you figure out to record to lower level you might get distortion, however all and all great tool. Thanks to Ashampoo and GoTD for this wonderful utility.

Morning all, we have been using Snap 4 for some time now and it's an awesome bit of kit. Prior to using v4 we used v3 before upgrading and the improvements were impressive. We mainly use it to take a screen shots of either a running programme or a software installation (for example) and pass it on as an eMail attachment to our customers. It's very easy to use, and the image quality is exceptional with an output usually in png format, although others are available (bmp, pdf & jpeg).
Both versions have the ability to capture a freestyle region, a fixed region, free rectangle area or a single window, with v4 having the ability to capture video much better than v3 did. Capturing a YouTube video can be a bit tricky, but it can be done with some practice, not that we do this of course, just thought I would mention it!
