When it runs for the first time it says to uninstall any other AV

If you go to options, engine, you can choose to run it as an AV and anti malware or just as an AV or just as anti malware.

@5 - John R . Ashampoo AntiMalware includes 180 days (6 months) signature updates.

edit: (after installing the giveaway) It seems the signature updates are a little more generous than 6 months.

Free Signature Updates are available until 24-Feb-2018 (2381 days).

This is not a software that can be tried in a day and have an opinion.It is a hard market to compete. Price tag of $40 when you can get free AVG, Avast or evven a paid version of Kaspersky.

I have used lots of Ashampoo software, and really like the programs and the company. Some people complain that they get too manmy emails from Ashampoo - easily solved by logging into your Ashampoo account and unticking a few boxes.
