Concerning Pixel Shader 2.0...
If you have bought your computer within like the past 2-3 years, maybe even more earlier I am not sure, your computer most likely has Pixel Shaders 2.0 support.

Not a bad software. Loaded with features for animation. Lakes, streams, snow, and clouds can make your picture come to life. The only thing is it is limited to only pictures, so functionality is limited to only those who want images as screen savers or more pizazz to their digital photos (digital photo frames? :D ) In general, good software, but not a whole range of uses. PROS:

- Allows you to apply a variety of effects, including moving clouds, snow and water to static photos.
- Extremely easy to use, just paint over the regions and adjust the effect settings. Took me less than 5 minutes to transform a photo into a screensaver with moving clouds and water.
- Good export options - exe, scr, swf, gif, avi. Customisable dimensions of output files.
- Allows you to add background music to screensavers (wma, wav, mp3 supported)

CONS:
- System requirements may be a problem for those running older computers.
- Encountered a problem running screensavers with no effects applied.
- Accessing help files requires internet connection

Summary:
A solid program that is easy to use, yet creates realistic looking weather effects.

This looked amateurish and like "another cheap image editor" from the screen shots but I was wrong, very very wrong. This is a real winner.

It works superbly with an artistic and programming flair and very fast in operation obviously using hardware to do the manipulation with some great results. I can apply all sorts of real time, dynamic moving special effects, and manipulations. I could just play with this for hours. The main screen shot on the corner-a site do this program no justice, you can add much better and more subtly artistic effects that that shown. If you look lower you can see a series of videos which show what can be achieved with this.

A great asset for quick image fun and tweaking, it's the first image program that has come along since Kais power-goo that has made me open my eyes and say "wow". Kudos to the developers.

I'm only deducting a point for this requirement of .NET which limits no "thin machine install"
